The deadline to submit nominations for the 10th annual 2016 Women Impacting ISU calendar is Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 5 p.m.
The Catt Center is accepting applications for the 2015 Carrie Chapman Catt Prize for Research on Women and Politics through a postmark deadline of Nov. 25.
With presidential candidates campaigning across the state in advance of 2016 Iowa Caucuses, the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women in Politics is coordinating several activities to educate and engage voters in the political process.
Since 1996, the Legacy of Heroines program has provided a number of scholarships to women who seek involvement in and knowledge about the political process and public service. Each scholarship has specific criteria determined by the donor, and all applicants must demonstrate academic achievement and leadership experience. Clint Stephens, who helped substantially grow the curriculum and student enrollment in the Leadership Studies Program in his five years at Iowa State University, has joined Emporia State University in Kansas as an administrator and faculty member.
Five new undergraduate student interns have joined the staff of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics for the 2015-2016 academic year, and one intern from last year has returned.

Sparked by their interest in entrepreneurship and their commitment to Iowa State University, Joanne and Charles (Chuck) Kuster of Johnston, Iowa, have endowed a new Legacy of Heroines scholarship through the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics.
