Summer interns assist with Catt Center projects Two undergraduate students have been spending part of their summer as interns at the Catt Center, working on projects for the Archives of Political Communication and the launch of a new Professional Excellence workshop series. 2026 Women Impacting ISU calendar nominations due by Sept. 28 The Women Impacting ISU calendar will be celebrating an anniversary in 2026 with a special commemorative edition of the calendar featuring women who had left Iowa State before the first calendar was created in 2007. 2025 Catt Prize proposals due by Nov. 17 The Catt Center is accepting applications for the 2025 Carrie Chapman Catt Prize for Research on Women and Politics through Nov. 17. Shaw highlights Cyclone Civics’ activities during its inaugural year, introduces the leadership team guiding Cyclone Civics into its next phase, and offers a glimpse of upcoming plans—including a university-wide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary Stories from the Plaza: Remarkable Women in Aviation This edition of "Stories from the Plaza" features four women passionate about aviation who were honored by the Department of Aerospace Engineering for their remarkable contributions beyond the clouds.
