The Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics is pleased to recognize the accomplishments and activities of its faculty, staff, students, alumni and supporters.
The Catt Center held a year-end celebration event on April 12 to honor the affiliated students who earned their undergraduate or graduate degrees from Iowa State University this spring, as well as the students who graduated in December 2023.
After one month of active outreach, more than the amount in pledges needed to establish an expendable fund account at Iowa State University for a Legacy of Heroines Scholarship named for Dr. Deborah Turner has been raised.
The Catt Center sponsored the visits of two nationally known figures in March and April who discussed social innovation and women’s suffrage.
Nominations are being accepted for the 2025 Women Impacting ISU calendar, a tribute to current students, faculty and staff who have made a significant positive impact on campus through their actions, involvement and achievements at Iowa State University.
This issue of Voices features three women honored in the Plaza of Heroines who earned college degrees in mathematics, using those degrees in different ways throughout their lives.
