The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will honor Dianne Bystrom for her 22 years of service as director of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics at Iowa State University with a retirement reception from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, in the Reiman Ballroom at the ISU Alumni Center, 429 Alumni Lane, Ames, Iowa.
A short program will begin at approximately 4 p.m.
The reception is open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated from those who plan to attend. You may do so online here.
If you are unable to attend the reception but would like to share your well-wishes, you are invited to submit a short video message for Bystrom.
“I’ve enjoyed my time at Iowa State and all the wonderful colleagues – both in and outside the university – I’ve been fortunate to work with over the years,” Bystrom said. “This reception provides an opportunity to convey my thanks for their friendship and support.”
Bystrom’s official last day at Iowa State University is Aug. 10.
