Nominations are being accepted for the 2019 Women Impacting ISU calendar through Friday, Sept. 28.
“Do you know a woman who has impacted Iowa State University through campus involvement, in the classroom or through community relationships; inspires women of all generations; and is a current Iowa State student, staff or faculty member? If so, then nominate her for the 2019 Women Impacting ISU calendar,” said Kristine Perkins, who oversees the nomination, selection, publication and recognition process as the public relations/student programs coordinator at the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics.
The annual calendar, which was initiated in 2007, highlights the accomplishments and achievements of 12 women currently on the Iowa State campus as students, faculty and staff. Selections are made by a committee comprised of previous honorees, past nominators, and staff of the Catt Center based on the nominees’ achievements in administration, teaching, research and service as well as their involvement in various campus activities.
The online nomination form for the 2019 calendar is available on the Catt Center’s website.
Funding for the 2019 calendar is provided by Iowa State’s Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion. Catt Center staff and students publicize and collect the nominations; organize the recognition reception in January of each year; and design, order and distribute the calendars.
Women faculty and staff must be employed by Iowa State University for the 2019 calendar year to be eligible for nomination. Students graduating in May 2019 may be nominated.
If you have questions about the calendar nomination process, contact the Catt Center by emailing cattcntr@iastate.edu or calling (515) 294-3181.
