Nominations are being accepted for the 2017 Women Impacting ISU calendar through Friday, Sept. 30.
“Do you know a woman who has impacted Iowa State University through campus involvement, in the classroom or through community relationships; inspires women of all generations; and is a current Iowa State student, staff or faculty member? If yes, then nominate her for the 2017 Women Impacting ISU calendar,” said Kristine Perkins, public relations/student programs coordinator at the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics, which coordinates the nomination, selection, publication and recognition process.
The annual calendar, which was initiated in 2007, highlights the accomplishments and achievements of 12 women currently on the Iowa State campus as students, faculty and staff. Selections are made by a committee comprised of previous honorees, past nominators, students and staff of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics based on the nominees’ achievements in administration, teaching, research and service as well as their involvement in various campus activities.
The nomination form for the 2017 calendar is available on the Catt Center’s website. The completed nomination materials must be received by the Catt Center by 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30, 2016.
Funding for the 2017 calendar is provided by Iowa State’s Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion. Catt Center staff and students publicize and collect the nominations; organize the recognition reception in January of each year; and design, order and distribute the calendars.
Women faculty and staff must be employed by Iowa State University for the 2017 calendar year to be eligible for nomination. Seniors graduating in May 2017 may be nominated.
