A mosaic of bricks and granite pavers in front of Carrie Chapman Catt Hall on Iowa State University’s central campus, the Plaza of Heroines honors more than 3,600 women who have made an impact on families, communities and society as mothers, wives, teachers, scientists, professionals, activists and friends. Now, with the new online order form available on the plaza’s website, it’s easier than ever to honor women who have impacted your life.
On the online order form, you select a brick or paver and enter the text to be engraved. You can then enter a biography of the honoree and attach a photo (these items are both optional). You also enter contact information for yourself and indicate if an acknowledgement card is to be sent to your honoree and if there is a corporate matching gift. After completing the form, click the submit button at the bottom of the form and the information will be sent to the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics. Please note that payments must be mailed to the Catt Center for orders to be processed.
Check out our form and place an order to honor a special woman in your life. Orders received by March 22 will be installed in the plaza in time for VEISHEA.
