This six-lesson curriculum was created to share background information and offer suggestions for study of the 19th Amendment and the women’s suffrage movement in the United States.
Designed for grades 9-12, the lessons are aligned with Iowa’s Social Studies Standards and allow for flexibility with consideration for a diversity of classes. Lessons can be presented individually or as part of an ongoing unit. Selections of primary and secondary sources related to the 19th Amendment accompany each lesson.
