Two Iowa State University alumni with ties to the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics will be recognized at the Iowa State University Alumni Association Honors and Awards ceremony at Stephens Auditorium on Nov. 1.
The Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics welcomed Melissa Martin as a new administrative assistant in August.
Catt Center director Karen M. Kedrowski will present Iowa State University’s 2024 Constitution Day lecture, “The History of Presidential Debates, 1960-Present,” on Thursday, Sept. 12.
On Oct. 8, Michael Waldman, president and CEO of the Brennan Center for Justice, will present the Fall 2024 Manatt-Phelps Lecture, “How States Can Prevent Election Subversion in 2024 and Beyond.”
Nominations are being accepted for the 2025 Women Impacting ISU calendar, a tribute to current students, faculty and staff who have made a significant positive impact on campus through their actions, involvement and achievements.

The summer has seen several changes in staffing at the Catt Center, with a new title and adjustment in the role of one member, the departure of another member, and an addition to the staff.
