2026 Women Impacting ISU calendar honorees announced

Twelve women whose leadership made a difference at Iowa State University and beyond will be honored on the 2026 Women Impacting ISU calendar.

To mark the 20th anniversary of the publication of the calendar, the 2026 Women Impacting ISU calendar will be a special commemorative edition featuring women who had left Iowa State before the publication of the first calendar in 2007.

The 2026 calendar will be officially unveiled during a reception recognizing the honorees on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union. The program will begin at 4 p.m. After the program, copies of the calendar will be distributed for free. The event is free and open to the public.

Honorees for the 2026 calendar are:

  • Molly Benson, ‘97 business
  • Corinne (Muncy) Brown, ‘60 home economics education and staff member, 1981-2005
  • Stephanie Law, ‘06 physics
  • Vera Martinovich, ‘88 aerospace engineering
  • Trudy Huskamp Peterson, ‘67 English, history and speech communication
  • Laura Phillips, ‘05 chemical and biological engineering
  • Lola Placeway, 1895 chemistry and Department of Chemistry faculty member, 1898-1913
  • Shannan Potts, ‘04 mechanical engineering
  • Laura Talbot Seidensticker, ‘89 aerospace engineering
  • Evonne Johnson Smith, ‘68 textiles and clothing
  • Rowena Edson Stevens, 1873 agriculture
  • Kate (Nelson) Terrell, ‘02 horticulture

Copies of the calendar will be available after Jan. 23 at various campus locations, including the Catt Center, Sloss House, Beardshear Hall and the Memorial Union. If you would like calendars for distribution at your campus office, please email the Catt Center at cattcntr@iastate.edu.
