The Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics recently added Iowa State University’s Status on Women and Gender Equity Report as one of its research initiatives.
Most recently compiled by the Committee for the Advancement of Women and Gender Equity, the report provides a comprehensive analysis of the experiences and representation of women at Iowa State University. The report includes statistical data, analyses, and recommendations on the status of women in various groups across the university, including undergraduate students, graduate and professional students, postdoctoral research associates, faculty, professional and scientific staff, merit staff, and higher administration. The report also analyzes data across dimensions such as race, fields of study or work, and salary.
Amy Erica Smith, associate director of research at the center, will be supervising the data collection, analysis, and publication of the report. Smith will be focusing on one group of women at a time, with a report being published each year. Data collection has begun with the faculty.
